Exhibit Your Titles!

2022-2023 NMBA Showcase Catalog

NMBA will be promoting and selling our members’ books, and offering our popular NMBA Showcase Catalog at two book events this fall. For a modest fee, we will display and sell your titles. 

​The events are: 

• October 7–9, Fall Con ‘21, The Mountains & Plains Independent Booksellers Association (MPIBA), Denver
• October 20–22, New Mexico Library Association annual conference, Albuquerque

What You Need to Provide

Here’s how to exhibit and sell your titles, all of the following must be in our hands by September 24th:

1. Fee: $45 for the first title; $25 per title for additional titles. Payable by check or PayPal.
2. Sell Sheets: Each book must be listed on a sell sheet (although you may put multiple titles on a single sheet.) Each submission must include 50 copies of the sell sheet(s) for that submission, which NMBA staff will bind into the catalog. Sell Sheets must comply with the “Sell Sheet Requirements” below. Here is a sample sell sheet.
3. ​Six Copies of Each Title: One copy will be displayed at the MPIBA Conference, and may be donated at the end of that event. The other five copies will be placed on sale at the NMLA event. 
4. Send the Sell Sheets and Copies of Your Titles to: New Mexico Book Association, Attn: October Book Shows, PO Box 1285, Santa Fe, NM 87504

What You Get

• Your book featured in 2022-2023 NMBA Showcase Catalog, with your description and your art. 
• NMBA staff, board, or volunteers will be at the events while the exhibit floor is open displaying your title and taking orders.
• All sales proceeds for your books go back to you. The Book Association will pay via check after the NMLA event.

Sell Sheet Requirements

Your sell sheets will be bound into the 2022-2023 NMBA Showcase Catalog that will be available at the shows. Contact us if you have any questions: [email protected]. Here's a sample sell sheet.

1. Sell sheets may be printed in color or black and white on 8 ½ x 11-inch paper using one or both sides, no heavier than 20 lb. bond, and with at least ¾-inch margins. Do not attach anything to the sell sheets. 
2. You must provide 50 copies of each sheet.
3. Sell sheets need to include the following information:​ 

• Title of book(s) (You may submit a sell sheet for each title or put several titles on one sheet; it’s up to you.)  
• Author 
• Publisher  
• ISBN 
• Contact information for sales: address, phone number, email address or website (if applicable)
• Regular price of each book, and any show discounts. (Books that are discounted to an even dollar amount or to 30% below list price sell better at shows.) 
• Good to include: an image of the book cover; jacket copy, or a summary of the book’s contents; reviews; and any awards the book has received.
