Exhibit Your Books!
​NMBA will be promoting and selling our members’ books and offering our popular NMBA Showcase Catalog at the 100th Anniversary New Mexico Library Association (NMLA) annual conference on 25 - 27 October, 2023  in Albuquerque. 

​For a modest fee, we will display and sell your titles. 

What You Need to Provide to Exhibit Your Books

Note: This is only for current NMBA members.
If you're not yet a member and you would like to exhibit your titles at the NMLA annual conference you can 

• Join NMBA or 
• Renew your NMBA membership.

Here’s how to exhibit and sell your titles:

1. ​No later than October 13th: Pay the fee by PayPal (preferred) or check: 
         * $35 for the first title.
         * $25 per title for each additional title.
2. ​​No later than October 13th: Upload the Sell Sheet and Provide Some Information on Your Book.
   Sell sheet requirements are listed below.

4. Send five (5) copies of each title to:

IMPORTANT!

• If you submitted this title for a previous event (NMLA Conference last year, or for the Tucson Festival of the Book or Feria del Libro de la Frontera International Book Fair in Juarez, Mexico), we may already have five copies of your book. 
• If you are not sure whether we have copies of your title, or how many copies we may have, please contact Paula Lozar at [email protected].

What You Get When You Exhibit Your Books

• Your book featured in 2023-2024 NMBA Showcase Catalog, with your description and your art. 
• NMBA staff, board, or volunteers will be at the event while the exhibit floor is open displaying your title and selling your books.
• All sales proceeds for your books go back to you. The Book Association will pay via check or PayPal after the NMLA event.

Sell Sheet Requirements

Your sell sheets will be bound into the 2022-2023 NMBA Showcase Catalog that will be available at the shows. Here's a sample sell sheet.​

Guidelines

1. Color or Black-and-White: Sell sheets may be designed in either color or black-and-white
2. Format: 8 ½ x 11-inch format with at least ¾-inch margins. 
3. Content: ​Sell sheets should include the following information:​ 
   1. ​​Title of book(s) (You may submit a sell sheet for each title or put several titles on one sheet; it’s up to you.)  
   2. Author 
   3. Publisher  
   4. ISBN 
   5. Contact information for sales: address, phone number, email address or website (if applicable)
   6. Regular price of each book, and any show discounts. (Books that are discounted to an even dollar amount or to 30% below list price may sell better at shows.) 
   7. ​Optional, but Good to Include:
      1. An image of the book cover.
      2. Jacket copy, or other summary of the book’s contents.
      3. Reviews.
      4. Any awards the book has received.

A digital copy of your sell sheet will be posted on this website for easy access for buyers at the book shows.
