![]() Santa Fe midwife Dena Moes, RN, CNM (NMBA Member) has written a book from the frontlines of the reproductive rights fight. It's Your Body: The Young Woman's Guide to Empowered Sexual Health, was recently published by WW Norton. It’s Your Body is an unbiased resource guide with clear information about all the birth control methods available , consent, STIs, sexual wellness, and an in-depth look at pregnancy options including how to access them in the post-Roe landscape. It contains wisdom and guidance from her 26 years of experience in the field. When Roe vs Wade was overturned two years ago, Dena asked herself what she could do to help the people most vulnerable to the consequences of unintended pregnancy- teenagers and young adults. They currently face abortion bans and care deserts, fake clinics, and misinformation circulating on the web- all barriers to reproductive freedom. What can one midwife/writer do? Her answer is this book- which will help teenagers and young women make their own decisions about their bodies, their fertility, and their lives.
