NM Battle of the Books - Submission

At the recent NMLA Conference, the NM Battle of the Books Steering Committee presented an exciting opportunity for our local authors to engage with young readers across the state.
About Battle of the Books:
This program is a reading competition for students in grades 4-8. Throughout the year, children read from a designated list and then compete in a fun, quiz-style battle to demonstrate their knowledge. Its mission is to encourage New Mexico's youth to read high-quality literature.
How You Can Get Involved:
The Steering Committee is looking for New Mexico authors who would be interested in:

• Attending Battles: Sell your books, talk to children about writing, and help award medals at competitions in Albuquerque, Gallup, and Roswell.
  
• Conducting School Visits: Visit schools around New Mexico to inspire students.
  
• Being Considered for Reading Lists: Have your book potentially featured on a future Battle of the Books list (selection is at the discretion of the committee).
